My name is Jael. I am 16 years old and I am a high school student in grade 11. I have completed RCM Level 10 in both practical and written theory, and am currently working on my ARCT in Piano Performance as part of The Royal Conservatory of Music. I am now in my 4th year of teaching.
I am looking for two more piano students to begin right after Christmas break! I currently teach beginner-level students up to level 5. I love Jesus and I would also enjoy teaching my students some praise and worship songs if that might be of interest to them! I am doing lessons in a COVID friendly manner. I sanitize the piano keys before and after each lesson, ensure students and I wash/sanitize our hands, and masks can be worn as well. The rates are reasonable. If you’re interested, please feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
NEEDED: MEN AND WOMEN
If you have a few hours to spare, consider volunteering at Second Chance Life Recovery Thrift store in Clearbrook. No previous experience necessary. Money made from the store supports 4 houses for women at various stages of addiction recovery.
This past summer we have been blessed with an avalanche of donations, and desperately need men and women to help move the merchandise. For men, this might include helping with “intake” (receiving donations at the door), checking electrical donations, pricing hardware, or helping take bags of recycling to Surrey. For women, sorting and/or pricing clothes, linens, housewares, working on cash, tidying shelves and more. There are jobs for everyone. Shifts are usually 4 hours Mon. thru Sat. (9:30 -1:30 and 1:30 to 4:30)
We are currently closed on Mondays so volunteers can do extra cleaning and restocking without customers. Evening shifts for care groups, families, or other groups can be arranged. We have Covid protocols in place.
For more information about the program, visit our website or Facebook page or contact Lily Bergen, store manager at 604 854 5928 or Marian Vanderwal at 604 823 6342
