MAINTENANCE WORKER

​Menno Place is seeking a dynamic, permanent full-time Maintenance Worker! The Maintenance Worker 5 is an integral member of the Menno Place team and is required to have a commitment to the vision, mission and values of Menno Place. In performing duties, the Maintenance Worker 5 will follow Menno Place policies and procedures ensuring the provision of Resident and Family Centered Care (RFCC) while safeguarding staff and residents.

Job Summary - The Support Worker is responsible for providing support to clients and co-workers at LIFE’s First Stage Recovery Program, which exists to support women in recovery from addictions. This position involves working with clients who may have only recently made a commitment to sobriety and are still experiencing the effects of detox or withdrawal. The ability to function independently and under pressure, while managing multiple concurrent tasks, including emergencies, is an ongoing expectation of this position.

​The Director of Student Life will play a key role in creating an intentional Christian community for more than 100 student residents at Pax House near UBC. Working within the Finance department, you will manage semi-monthly payroll processing, benefits enrollment and administration, pension plan coordination, and regulatory compliance.

While primarily transactional in nature, this work directly supports our mission by enabling staff and faculty to focus on their ministry of equipping students for lives of discipleship, leadership, and service. This temporary position has been created as we restructure our HR functions. We are seeking someone who can maintain operational continuity during this transition period, with the potential for the role to continue or expand based on organizational needs and mutual fit.
