Seeking Handicap Accessible Room
Hi! I’m Jack!
I currently live in Old Clayburn. I’ve lived here for 5 years. I’ve been a reliable tenant, paid rent on time or early and have treated the place with respect.
The reason I’m moving is that my roommate moved, ending our lease. This prompted my landlord to decide to sell the house sooner than they planned. They’ve given me until December 1st to find a place. They will be a good reference for me.
A bit about me. I’ve been relearning to walk for a long time after an accident. It’s going well praise God, but slow. In some ways I’m in the best shape of my life. In others the majority of 80 years olds can out pace me with ease. Not all, but most. I should probably add that I’m 31.
I require an accessible place. I’m not in a wheelchair, but I use a cane and can’t do stairs. I can handle one 3 inch step to enter and exit the suite. I need the driveway and neighbourhood to be flat. I also need to be right next to a bus stop. Within 200m ish would be ideal.
My budget is roughly $750-800 a month. I could go a bit higher if everything is included. I know that’s not enough for my own suite. But that’s ok because I love having roommates! I’ve tried living alone a couple times and it’s awful. So if you have a 2 bedroom suite available I’d love to talk about renting that & finding another suitable roommate :)
I spend most of my days resting and doing intermittent physiotherapy. I get out whenever I’m able and I try and socialize as much as possible. Making new friends is probably my favourite thing to do. I treasure it even more now because of my limitations, whereas before I took it for granted. I have to give the Lord credit for that.

This is a physical, active role that requires a good level of fitness, including the ability to move heavy barrels and be on your feet for extended periods, and we're looking for a friendly, practical, reliable team player with leadership skills, a heart for using their gifts in service of others, and mechanical aptitude is an asset.
