Men's Ministries

Men's Fraternity provides men with an encouraging process that teaches them how to live lives of authentic manhood as modeled by Jesus Christ and directed by the Word of God.

The True Power of Men's Fraternity lies in bringing men together to learn and listen to each other. There are no gimmicks - just an informal 45 - min DVD teaching period followed by 30 min for men to gather in smaller groups to talk about what they've head, how it applies to their everyday problems, and offer their mutual support. That's important. And the impact can be felt not just in our lives - but also in our families... in the work place... and even in church.

Beginning in fall and ending before spring we will be working through the 16 - session DVD series "Winning at Work and Home" This series focuses on the two areas that are central to a man's happiness and satisfaction in life and are locked up in two words - work and home. Together these two words capture the worlds that make up the bulls-eye of a man's life. These arenas absorb most of a man's time, talent, energy, effort, and creativity. Most importantly, no man can afford success in only one of these critical areas. The good life demands that he win in both.

For 16 weeks you will get the help you need to evaluate your game at home and in the workplace. You will get the support and tools you need to build or (or rebuild) your confidence; expand your vision; develop successful life strategies; and improve your performance in your relationship with your wife or girlfriend, in your relationships with your children, and in your job!

Please consider this your personal invitation to be apart of Men's Fraternity at South Abbotsford Church!

For more information contact the church office. 604-853-2663 or print a copy of the current brochure.

Declaring for Christ: (Baptism Class)
It's a significant decision to make public a decision that we have made privately. We believe that baptism is a sign to the world that we have received God's gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. We've turned from our own way and want to declare that we are giving ourselves totally to going God's way. At SAC we baptize people upon confession of their faith, a personal decision. We use the form of immersion because we believe it best signifies leaving our old life and rising to live our lives following God's way.

Committing to Community: (Membership Class)
Living as a Christ-follower was never designed to be a solo experience. As different parts of a physical body need each other, so we need each other as well. Committing to one particular community of faith gives us the opportunity to be known and know others, to be cared for and care for others, to be served and serve others.

SAC - Soul Cravings, Tell Us Your Story BLOG - Click here

Soul Cravings: A Creative Approach to Relational Evangelism
(scroll to the bottom for downloads)

One of our core values is outreach. We want to compassionately reach out to people in our city in holistic ways to meet their needs. For those who have never come to know Christ in a personal way, we want to share the good news of the gospel. But where do we begin?

In April we launched Soul Cravings: A Creative Approach to Relational Evangelism at South Abbotsford Church, in partnership with Power to Change.

During that time a series of topics were designed for individuals or small groups to use to guide us in this new approach to relational evangelism. Those topics are available for you to download below.

We also offered training on April 18 and 25 in using the pre-evangelistic tool designed by Erwin McManus entitled Soul Cravings Prequel. These books are still available at the South Abbotsford Church office for $3.00 each for distribution to your friends and contacts.

To learn more about Soul Cravings- check out the video clips at I Crave Change.
Also, please feel free to check out our Soul Cravings blog and share your own personal stories of initiating spiritual conversations.

We also invite you to a follow-up event to continue our dialogue together on relational evangelism on Sunday, June 13th at 10:00 am in the main sanctuary at South Abbotsford Church.

We look forward with anticipation to see how Soul Cravings will be a catalyst for joyful outreach to those around us.
