The difference between godly sorrow and worldly sorrow is repentance.
Repentance is…
• Seeing your sin
• Sorrowing over your sin
• Confessing your sin
• Being ashamed of your sin
• Turning from your sin
1. At the very least this means removing yourself as much as possible from places of temptation
2. If your sin was against other people, then you must go to them and ask their forgiveness
3. If your sin involves stealing, then restitution must be made
Repentance is something that God must do in us…God grants us repentance.
Repentance is no pleasure trip.
Repentance has an end result…joy.
