Job Summary

This position requires extensive knowledge of programming CNC machines. This office position is responsible for engineering and programming our manufacturing software. The main functions include engineering cabinets, validating cabinet design, and testing implementations.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Support IT department in the development and maintenance of our manufacturing software

Learn and understand our product design/methodology

Competencies

CAM/CAD Programming Skills: Proficiency in CAM/CAD software like AutoCAD, bSolid, SolidWorks, WoodWOP, IMOS or other CAM softwares to create and optimize CNC programs.

Technical Knowledge: Understanding of CNC machining principles and machining parameters - in relation to cabinet manufacturing.

Documentation: Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation.
Requirements and Qualifications

Experience: Previous experience in CAM programming and CNC machining is essential, preferably with specific experience working with Biesse and/or Homag machines. Candidates should have a strong understanding of CNC principles. (5+ years of experience)

CAM Software Proficiency: Proficiency in CAM software such as IMOS, bSolid, WoodWOP, or similar programs used for programming Biesse and Homag CNC machines. (Asset not required)

Experience in a wood manufacturing environment. (5+ year of experience)

HyLand is a real estate endowment that manages a significant portfolio of development and rental properties to generate revenue for the international relief work of MCC (Mennonite Central Committee).

MCC is a Christian non-profit organization that supports relief, development, and peacebuilding initiatives in over 53 countries worldwide, including refugee support for war-torn countries; humanitarian aid for areas affected by natural disasters; clean water, job creation, and education programs in developing nations; and reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples. MCC Canada has been named a Top Ten International Aid non-profit by Charity Intelligence.

Responsibilities:

• Administrative:
 - Organize Meetings/Board Planning Retreat
     - Schedule the caterer/Buy the food for the event
     - Organize set-up and tear down of event

     - Record meeting and take meeting minutes
     - Manage the board presentation during meeting and the board members on a video call
     - Preparation of official board minutes
